HAIR STYLES & DIRECTIONS Crowns and Parts: You can choose where you want your crown (left, right, center), whether you want a part and even what kind of part you prefer. Obviously, the crown and part need to be on the same side because the part extends forward from your crown. You can choose to have a slight part (or break) where the hair thins out to allow brushing in 2 directions, or you can have a defined part, where your scalp is clearly visible. CROWNS Right crown Center crown Left crown PARTS Right part Center part Left part Ventilation Options: (ventilation is the industry term for knotting hairs into hairpiece bases – and no, I have no idea why they call it that) Freestyle: Freestyle is just what the name implies. It has a center crown of sorts, so you have the freedom to style your hair however you choose: Comb it back, comb it down, comb it to the side, or even change your style or the location of your part from day to day. Brushback: Brushback allows you to comb your hair back and expose your hairline. It also gives some lift to the hair so that it doesn’t lie flat against your scalp. Brushback is the best choice for a spiky style. Flatback: Flatback is knotted so that your hair lies close to your scalp. It’s excellent for a very short style or a “wet look” style. Pompadour: Pompadour gives the maximum lift to your hair.
